Dashboard Latest Drop: Trading Journal Beta 2
A significant new release for the Trading Journal beta, packed with multi-account support, trade editing, post-trade reflection, and live market context. As always, this is active development — expect the occasional wobble, and keep the feedback coming via the usual channels.
Multi-Account Journal
Manage multiple trading accounts, set a primary, update balances, and archive old ones — all from Settings.
Account-Filtered Views
Switch between All Accounts or a specific account and every stat, chart, and trade list follows along instantly.
Trade Editing + Reflection
Tweak trades after the fact and capture structured post-trade reflection — the "why" behind the numbers.
Context Snapshots
Point-in-time market context — news, calendar events, macro bias, technicals — right where you review a trade.
Faster Journal Overview
Fewer API calls, improved loading behaviour, and a cleaner mobile experience throughout.

The Trade Journal functionality is still under active development. Some rough edges are expected — your feedback is what shapes the final product.
What's New in This Release
Five meaningful upgrades land in Beta 2, from how you manage accounts to how you reflect on — and learn from — every trade.
1. Accounts Are First-Class Citizens
Head to Settings → Trading Journal to create and manage accounts — name, platform, broker, balance, and more. Set a primary account, update balances with an "as of" date, and archive old accounts with a replacement primary. Every Journal view respects your selected account, and each trade row now shows an account badge so you never brag about the wrong P&L.
2. Add & Import Into the Right Account
Manual trade entry lets you pick the account before saving. The CSV import flow includes account selection before you commit — no more orphaned trades.
3. Edit Trades + Reflect Like a Pro
The single trade page now supports full trade editing and structured reflection, including:
  • Setup grade (A / B / C)
  • Execution quality (early, clean, chased, late)
  • Emotion state (calm, edgy, euphoric, frustrated)
  • Plan followed (yes / no) + execution notes
You can also compare planned vs. actual entry, exit, and stop — and regenerate the AI coach review if your first one was a little unkind.
4. Context Snapshots on Single Trades
Scrollable tabs surface point-in-time market context: news anchored to snapshot time (with sentiment and impact), calendar events, macro bias, edge factor, and technical indicators. For open trades, hit Refresh Snapshots to capture an updated view.
5. Performance + UX Polish
The Journal overview loads faster thanks to fewer API calls and an independently loading AI overview. Mobile improvements include better heatmap touch interactions, responsive layout fixes, cleaner P&L formatting, and improved equity chart rendering.
One Small Step in MT5, A Much Better Journal
To fully leverage the enhanced P/L tracking and richer experience of HybridTrader's latest Journal release, ensuring reliable trade synchronisation from your MT5 platform is crucial. The updated Journal Sync Expert Advisor (v1.06) is specifically designed to guarantee this seamless data flow.
01
Save Your Settings
Before removing the old EA, save your current setup so nothing gets lost.
02
Install EA v1.06
The update only takes a few minutes, and your Journal key carries over automatically.
03

Your trade synchronisation stays reliable, so the Journal can deliver the full experience.

Known Rough Edges & How to Help
Beta 2 is a meaningful step forward, but it's still a work in progress. Here's what to watch out for — and how your feedback directly shapes what comes next.
Layout Oddities on Smaller Devices
You may spot visual quirks on mobile or narrower screens. We're actively ironing these out — if something looks broken, let us know which device and screen size you're on.
Account Filtering Edge Cases
Some filtering scenarios may behave in ways that feel overly literal or unexpected. If account switching produces results that don't match what you'd expect, that's valuable signal for us.
Snapshot Data + AI Inconsistencies
Context snapshot data and AI-generated outputs may vary while we tune the underlying logic. If a review feels off or a snapshot looks incomplete, please flag it.

How to report: Use the usual channels and include screenshots plus steps to reproduce. Tell us what you expected to happen and what actually happened — that combination is pure gold for the team.
You're helping shape the new Journal features into something genuinely useful. Every piece of feedback you send makes a real difference — thank you for being part of this beta.
